NRPG Introduction

Long ago, in the age of Mythos, before the Far Plane was formed and the Mortal Plane forged, the Elder Gods controlled existence. They were great beings of immense powers that constructed the fabric of reality.

Many of the races of the current age still have tales of these times. Mostly through stories and legends, but scattered ruins of the age still exist. Each origin story of the Mortal Plane differs depending on the realm and race who speaks of the tale.

The bestial Primals held strength in true form. Nearly all myths regarding the Mortal Plane involve a primal aspect of some sort. It is said that they would consume the world in cycles of life and death. Some saw these cycles as a benevolent change and even attribute them to the very essence of natural order. The Dragonkin still revere these old gods. Seeking a way to one day return their Fey magics.

The Mog’Drollez were keepers of secrets who sought complete dominance over the realms. Attributed to the mortal concepts of time, these beings are whispered to have knowledge of all of things.

Often revered for being neutral in the great catalyst that led to the formation of the Mortal Plane. The darkest of magics are claimed to be given to mortals directly from this titan. Due to their lack of interest with mortals, only the most power hungry ever seek their guidance.

Xathanael Archana. Formless beings of limitless energies. The Xathanael was a fountain at the heart of most Elvish legend.

It is believed that it quite literally breathed life into the realm and separated the formless. Some fanatical sects of Elves believe that these beings are still dictating our very existence as mortals today.

Humes however, saw this Archana as a form of subjugation. Eventually generalizing separate origins. It often is regarded as a force to be controlled or overcome.

At some point during the Mythos age, Hume religion began spreading. Led by a single deity of light, they believe Guelstie disrupted the cycle once wrought by the Primal Dragons.

Elvish epochs also speak of this Goddess as the Disruptor and the Creator of Chaos. Humes are often looked at by Elvish as a younger race. Though there is no actual evidence, historically, to suggest this. The dragonkin of Dernia claim it to be a pretender- not truly a god, but an abomination of natural order. They seek to destroy her and all of her followers.

Without any written records or accounts of the age, many artifacts from the era are unknown. Some cultures claim that magic as we know it today didn’t exist in those times. A great war fought by the gods brought an awakening of the elemental forces. The Mortal Plane was forged in this and separated from their grasp.

Nearly all races agree that within the Far Plane exist a primordial war. We mortals were created, rejected, or in some instances, simply saved ourselves.

The world of NRPG was originally created over twenty years ago. It began with a series of short stories that progressed into a passion for game development. I have always been a writer at heart, and this was but the first of the many worlds I have created over the years.

Upon discovering the amazing uses NFTs can bring to the video game industry, I decided to open my world to the Algorand Metaverse. Every day I find myself overwhelmed with the amount of support this project has received since.

In early October 2021, we embarked on our first journey together. Each day, the growing members were given three choices. They then chose a new direction for the story as a whole. With a small group of under ten, we selected the starting scenario and were sent to retrieve an artifact deep within a mysterious cave, the Estelier Hollows
